Two Methods To Add Stain To CLP Saturant Prime

The first method is to purchase prepackaged stain and add them to the CLP Saturant Prime just before staining the deck, dock etc. The prepackaged stain color additives come in single gallon canisters that will tint one gallon. There are 6 colors to chose from in this catagory. (Prepackaged Method).
The second method is to add the colorant yourself using standard universal colorants used for tinting paint according to the tinting formulas provided. There are 12 color choices to chose from. (Self Tint Method).

US Coating Solutions' CLP Saturant Prime is engineered to accept Universal Colorants to achieve the above listed stain colors. You can now purchase CLP Saturant Prime in bulk and tint up what you need for a particular project without waste. You can tint as little as a quart, a single gallon to 5 gallons by following the formulas.

If you do not do your own tinting you can take the formula to your local paint store for tinting. By giving them this formula your stain should come out the same every time.

We recommend you always tint up a quart to get a sample of the end results before attempting a large project. This will also give you the ability to show your client a sample to have them sign off on the color. You can now tint up a quart of each color and make small samples of each color to show clients
