Hardwood Floor Finishing System
US Coating Solutions hardwood floor finishing system is a two
step application process designed to provide a seamless coating
that is extremely durable with a crystal clear finish. Flex-Clear
Urethane provides a very low maintenance floor that will stand up
to commercial cleaning machines. It is available in high gloss with
options for a satin finish and non-slip. We offer only the best
quality for all customers from normal residential applications to
dance floors since application costs are the same or greater for
lesser quality hardwood finishing systems. You will save on labor
with a two step application process instead of a three step process
and long term low maintenance making this a very cost effective
solution with long term benefits. Flex-Clear Urethane is considered
a permanent environmentally friendly coating that qualifies for
Leeds credits.

Application Instructions
Step 1: Apply Saturant Stain
- Sand the floor before application
- Mix Saturant Stain (8 oz) throroughly with 1 gallon of water
- Apply with roller, spray or lambs wool applicator at the rate
of 300 sq. ft/gallon.
- Allow to dry for a minimum of 2 hours for prime to be absorbed
before application of Flex-Clear Urethane
Saturant Stain Properties: US Coating
Solutions' Saturant Stain Concentrate contains our exclusive
"Anti-Microbial System" that saturates into the wood
and with Flex-Clear Urethane cross-links with the cellulose
on a molecular level forming a tenacious bond with the cellulose
in the wood that is permanent and cannot peel. It delivers stain
and our exclusive anti-microbial package very effectively protecting
the wood from the inside from mold, mildew and pest infiltration.
Step 2: Apply Flex-Clear Urethane
- Stir well (do not allow air bubbles)
- Lightly sand the first coat with 120+ grit
- Apply at the rate of 400 sq. ft/gal. (If a second coat is desired
or needed lightly sand the first coat with 120+ grit, clean and
apply second coat at the rate of 500 sq. ft gal.)
- Allow to cure for 10 to 12 hours before walking on it
Flex-Clear Urethane Properties: Flex-Clear Urethane is
a premium two-component Low VOC High Performance water reducible,
non-yellowing polyurethane coating. It is a high gloss UV and chemical
resistant, flexible urethane coating that can be used in Interior
and Exterior applications. It is superior to many toxic solvent-based
two-component urethanes.
CHARACTERISTICS: Flex-Clear Uethane has superior product
characteristics and quality. Flex-Clear Urethane has excellent adhesion
and flexibility. It is highly mar, abrasion, scrub and impact resistant.
It has excellent hardness and chemical resistance properties. It
is very durable, and will protect the substrates in severe conditions.
The coating has demonstrated gloss and color retention that is better
than SSPC standards under extended weathering testing. It has also
shown good resistance to chalking and rusting in extended testing,
including humidity and salt fog testing. It has good slip resistance,
if used as a floor coating. Further, it has excellent chemical resistance
properties. Contact your USCS sales representative for further details

APPLICATIONS: Flex-Clear Urethane is an Aliphatic Polyurethane
that has been designed to provide superior performance over a wide
range of applications where an advanced High Performance Coating
is desired. It is ideally suited as topcoat where a high performance
system is desired for hardwood flooring, as well as for industrial
concrete floors. Flex-Clear Urethane has virtually NO ODOR and Low
VOC emissions. Flex-Clear Urethane stands up to some of the harshest
environments, while still maintaining its appearance and being a
very earth friendly, high performance urethane coating.
The stain pigments saturate deep into the wood fiber resulting
in a beautiful finish that pops the grain and will not only
last but look great for many years.
