Microbes Clean
US Coating Solutions' Microbes Clean eliminates pollutants safely
and effectively
Microbes Clean is a safe and effective method of cleaning solvents
allowing Microbes to do the work for you, by attaching themselves
to the contaminants and organic wastes and eliminating them so they
are no longer a threat to the environment. Microbes Clean protects
your environment by completely biodegrading harmful oil contaminants
and organic wastes. Can you imagine how much pollution could be
avoided if grease, oil, gasoline, organic wastes and other contaminants
were remediated by Microbes Clean instead ending up in the ground!!
It is not only the easiest way to clean your home or business, but
the most earth friendly. Small home and business contaminations
add up to more contamination than huge oil spills.

The microbes we have selected for this product have been chosen
for their affinity to consume contaminants and organic wastes. The
powerful surfactants in Microbes Clean break the hydrocarbons into
minute molecules, attach themselves to the contaminants and eliminates
them. The microbial cultures continue enzyme production until all
oil contaminants and other organic wastes are consumed. It inoculates
the contaminants with bacterial cells and oxygen catalysts necessary
for complete biodegradation. The result is a very effective and
earth friendly grease, oil, and organic waste cleaning product.

Toxic Waste: Let the Microbes Clean It Up
The best way to clean up most contaminants --- even the most toxic
pollutants such as PCBs or dynamite --- is to let microbes that
are already there do the job for you, according to a Northwestern
University researcher.
The microbes usually have to be fed. These microscopic one-celled
creatures can do an effective job of breaking down the pollutants
into harmless byproducts, according to Bruce Rittmann, John Evans
Professor of Environmental Engineering at Northwestern.
Rittmann detailed the chemical processes involved in breaking down
a wide variety of pollutants on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Eco-Informa
'96 conference on Global Networks for Environmental Information
at Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
"Microbes get a lot of bad press," Rittmann said, "but
the fact is the vast majority of microbes are 'good microbes' that
help sustain the earth's ecosystem."
In most cases the local microbes have to be fed and watered, much
like growing plants, Rittmann said. In one example of a process
called "in situ (or in place) bioremediation," air from
a compressor is pumped into the groundwater under the spill and
supplies the microbes with oxygen. At the same time, the nutrients
nitrogen and phosphorus can be fed into the contaminated soil to
stimulate growth of the bacteria. If the spill is above the water
table, water is added also to keep the microbes moist. The well-supplied
microbes than go about feeding on the contaminant, breaking it down
into harmless byproducts.
From a chemical point of view, what is happening is that the microbes
break chemical bonds in the contaminant and transfer electrons to
an "electron acceptor," such as oxygen. This process gives
off energy, which the microbes use, with carbon, to build new cells.
Microbes Clean is comprised of three major components. The first
is an emulsifier which breaks down the contaminants to molecular
size. In breaking down the fats, oils, greases and other organic
wastes, the cleaning process begins. The second component of Microbes
Clean is a biocatalyst which literally wakes up the dormant microbes.
The microbes are sleeping in soap bubbles in a dormant phase until
this process awakens the “starving little cleaning miracles” so
they can begin to feed on the unwanted hydrocarbons and wastes.
The third component is a blend of nutrients that insures the microbes
will multiply in the shortest amount of time to complete their task
as efficiently as possible.
Microbes Clean effectively removes surface and embedded
stains from spilled petroleum products and other organic wastes
from concrete and asphalt garage floors, driveways, shop floors,
loading docks, fueling areas, parking lots, and oil storage areas,
kitchens, autos, carpeting, furniture, clothing, etc.
Microbes Clean is nontoxic, non-caustic,
non-corrosive, nonpathogenic (harmless), and is biodegradable. Once
the food supply is depleted the microbes will ingest each other
as long as water is present (if no water is available, they will
return to a dormant state). It is a safe, natural, environmentally
friendly way for oil spill cleaning and bio remediation, and meeting
your home, office and business cleaning needs.

Microbes Clean Application:
Cleaning instructions: Saturate with
water and apply product. Brush with a stiff bristle broom brush
and let the microbes do their job for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse clean.
If it is an old stain, it might require more than one application
and wait 10 to 15 minutes (keep area wet) before rinsing clean.
Precautions/Limitations: Read
and follow precautions on MSDS. Pretest new equipment, finishes,
carpeting, clothing, and upholstered furniture by applying to a
small area first.

Microbes Clean Benefits:
- Equally successful for crude petroleum, lubricating oil, gasoline
and diesel spills
- Cleans oil equipment, vehicles and tools
- Contains no petroleum distillates or solvents
- Enhances biodegration above and below surface, when used as
recommended
- Economical and ecologically sound
- Cleans stains on carpeting, upholstered furniture and clothing
when others fail
- Cleans kitchen areas easily (stoves, flooring, stainless appliances,
greasy pots and pans, grills, etc.)
- Removes blood, magic marker, food stains, all forms of oil stains,
etc.
- Eliminate removal of contaminated materials by turning them
into harmless carbon dioxide and water and rinse away safely without
harmful environmental impact
- Use in garage to clean lawn mowers, power tools, autos (tar,
wheels, carpet, engine, tools, bikes, and basically anything with
oil or grease)
